Oh man. What a great session with Bridgett and Nick. If I haven’t said it before, I love engagement sessions. It’s such a good time to get to know your couples. The more comfortable they are with you from time spent together, the more comfortable they will be on their wedding day in front of the camera. And really, aside from setting my couples up for that best possible outcome (by doing an engagement session), I am a people person! My clients matter to me and I love spending time with them. It was so nice to hear from Bridgett and Nick about their recent engagement party, their jobs, wedding planning, etc. This particular session was extra special to me because I photographed Bridgett’s sister’s wedding a little over 5 years ago. I love building relationships with families. I actually got to see the entire side of Bridgett’s family 2 weeks prior to this engagement session for family portraits. That was a fun and pretty crazy day with 5 kids under the age of 5!
The Location for this Delaware engagement session was Brandywine Creek State Park. If you haven’t been there, you should visit. It is such a beautiful place with fantastic views. Once thing I had been looking forward to trying with Bridget and Nick was silhouettes as they were standing on the wall. I am SO HAPPY with the way they came out. It was hard to pick just a couple for this blog post! Check out the wall images in full color also. These were taken just seconds after the silhouettes – what a difference intentionally changing your settings can make!
Can’t wait until this wedding day at White Marsh Valley Country Club next summer!
