Whew! If you know me or any other professional photographer well, you know that the Fall is BUSY season! So many sessions and so little time for blogging them all. I had the pleasure of capturing a Brandywine Park engagement session during the last weekend of October. I really want to get at least a taste of that session on this blog.

Thanks to A Rescheduled Wedding

Derek reached out about his wedding at the beginning of the COVID shutdown. It was the first wedding I booked during those couple of months that I couldn’t be behind the camera. Earning their trust, and having their wedding day to look forward to was encouraging! Sadly (as you know) we are still very much living in a world affected by COVID. Derek and Diana’s wedding (originally planned for November of 2020) had to be postponed. One bright light in this? They decided to use the extra time to schedule an engagement session.

I love having time with clients before the wedding day. It really pays off to get to know your photographer (and for me to get to know clients). We had a great time wandering around Brandywine Park (home to the zoo) and capturing this special time for them. Knowing it was going to take me a little longer than usual to get their gallery ready, I made sure to get at least one favorite up on social media pretty quickly. Afterward, Derek sent the nicest email about how much they love that photo. They are even thinking ahead and looking forward to hiring me for another family celebration. That kindness and trust brought on some happy tears. I love building relationships with clients. I really have the best people to work with.
