May is a beautiful month for a wedding! In Delaware, by the time May comes around, the leaves are a vibrant green and the flowers are blooming. Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing a Wilmington wedding at Riverfront Events. Doris and Joe had a gorgeous day, and a small group of family and friends present to witness and celebrate with them.

My favorite part of this particular wedding day? Probably watching this groom dance his way into the ceremony! So much excitement! I love it. Here is a taste of Joe’s journey down the aisle, along with some other ceremony highlights.

Sun can be a challenge for a mid-day wedding, but we found the best spots for couple photos. One bonus of having the sun out was that the sky was bright blue for our city skyline/river view pics. And OH MY. I was so EXCITED to try out a shot that I’ve had in mind for a while. Riverfront Events has some great flooring that makes a really cool background design. I made myself as tall as possible on my portable ladder, and held the camera up as high as I could (thank God for screens that can rotate and show you what you are shooting!).
