A Wilmington, Delaware June Wedding

Cara and Rob had a wonderful day for their June wedding at St. Ann’s Church and Riverfront Events. I started the day with them at the Hyatt Place Riverfront. Getting ready and detail shots are some of my favorites. I love the anticipation that comes as couples are getting ready for their ceremony with their closest friends and family. We used both the outside area (behind Riverfront Events) and the lobby of the Hyatt for Rob’s photos, followed by the Hyatt bridal suite for Cara’s.

After prep time, everyone traveled to St. Ann’s for the ceremony. It’s a beautiful stone church in the Highlands neighborhood of Wilmington. Cara and Rob’s sweet little man walked down the aisle as ring bearer just ahead of his mother. Look at that grin!

Riverfront Events

Cara and Rob chose Riverfront Events for their reception. Before making our way to the venue, we took some photos in front of St. Ann’s gorgeous front doors (aren’t they amazing?!). And what perfect timing! As soon as we got outside for photos the Kalmar Nykel sailed by. At that time, we had just a few minutes of rain (literally, not even 5 – just enough to get some cute shots under the umbrella!) and then we were able to continue with more shots of the newly married couple and their bridal party along the Riverwalk area.

As usual, the Riverfront Events crew did a fantastic job with all the reception details. Each table with Cara and Rob’s signs, favors, name cards, date jar, etc., were laid out beautifully. Wired Up Entertainment brought the party and the celebration got started! Congratulations, Cara and Rob! It was such a privilege capturing your day!
