Oh man. What a great Brandywine Creek engagement session with Bridgett and Nick. If I haven’t said it before, I love engagement sessions. For one thing, it’s such a good time to get to know your couples. The more comfortable they are with you from the time spent together, the more comfortable they will be on their wedding day in front of the camera. And really, aside from setting my couples up for that best possible outcome, I am a people person! My clients matter to me and I love spending time with them.
After thinking through some different options, Bridgett and Nick decided on a Brandywine Creek (a Delaware State Park) engagement session. If you haven’t been there, you should visit. It is such a beautiful place with fantastic views. One thing I had been looking forward to trying with Bridget and Nick was silhouettes photos as they were standing on the stone wall. I am SO HAPPY with the way they came out. As a result, it was hard to pick just a couple for this blog post! Check out the wall images in full color also. These were taken just seconds after the silhouettes – what a difference intentionally changing your settings can make!
As we walked around the park, it was so nice to hear from these two about their recent engagement party, their jobs, wedding planning, etc. Also, this particular session was extra special to me because I photographed Bridgett’s sister’s wedding a little over 5 years ago. I love building relationships with families. I actually got to see the entire side of Bridgett’s family 2 weeks prior to this engagement session for family portraits. That was a fun and pretty crazy day with 5 kids under the age of 5!
I can’t wait until this wedding day at White Marsh Valley Country Club next summer!
