You probably know if you are reading this that I am primarily a Delaware wedding photographer. Wilmington, Delaware is home base, and naturally, I have a good deal of work in my state. However, there are SO MANY great venues just over the border in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. Jaime and Justin planned their Maryland wedding with an at-home ceremony followed by a reception at the Chesapeake Inn.
What goes into choosing a ceremony site? A good deal of it comes down to what is important to you. Maybe it’s important to you to get married in your church, or to have your ceremony and reception at the same location. Jaime and Justin chose a ceremony spot on family property that has a good deal of meaning to them.
When I pulled in to the site, I was so excited to see all of the flowering trees lining the drive (you’ll see below how we used the trees in photos). Both Jaime and Justin had spacious areas to use for getting ready photos. For the ceremony itself, they converted an area in the property’s pole barn with backdrop curtains and a gorgeous wooden frame.
Jaime and Justin’s reception was at one of my favorite Maryland wedding venues – The Chesapeake Inn. They started with a casual cocktail hour on the outdoor terrace. Cocktail time was followed with a sit down dinner in the veranda room. Everything looked beautiful with classy and simplistic detail. Here are a few highlights!
Are you planning a Maryland wedding? Or maybe a wedding in another location? I love to travel! Get in touch and let’s talk about capturing the moments you don’t want to forget.
