David and Vicki celebrated their marriage with a reception at the Stotesbury Mansion. The best thing? This was a reception 25 years in the making! When they were married, the couple didn’t have your ‘typical’ party afterwards. After lots of planning, they decided that with this milestone anniversary, they would pull out the stops and celebrate with family and friends.
The Stotesbury Mansion was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for Thomas McKean’s son, Henry. (interestingly, Thomas was the descendant of a Delaware delegate who signed the Declaration of Independence!) In 1890, the house was purchased by its namesake, Mr. Edward T. Stotesbury. Rich in history, this venue is also rich in beauty and detail. The ceilings, chandeliers, and every room different in detail from the next – I couldn’t get enough!
What a fun place to explore and to photograph. The elegant doorways, the stone exterior, elevator, and of course the mirror room(!), made for fantastic photo backdrops. On top of all this, the staff at the Stotesbury Mansion is absolutely wonderful – so kind and helpful. They were a great team to work with for David & Vicki’s celebration. And the catering! (Feastivities Events) The food was outstanding!
Back to our spotlight couple. Twenty five years of marriage is something to celebrate! David and Vicki did just that. Surrounding themselves with dear friends and family, they celebrated their quarter of a century commitment to one another. I loved capturing moments of the two of them dancing – it’s clear that they are a couple who have fun together! Throughout the night they continued to enjoy time with loved ones, laughter, good food, and dancing. I’m so honored to have been a small part of it. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, David and Vicki – here’s to twenty-five more!
