It has been SO NICE to get back behind the camera more this past month. A family session at Rockwood Park with Brian, Dana, and their 3 beautiful girls was just what I needed over the weekend! I love this family so much, and was thrilled when Dana reached out asking for a session. She wanted to capture their love for each other and bond during a time that has been so difficult in our country.

Anniversary Twins

I first met Brian and Dana on their wedding day – July 27th, 2012.  It was the day my husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary. Being a big anniversary for us, I almost said ‘no’ to photographing this wedding!  God had other plans though, and I’m so thankful. Jason and I got to celebrate the day before.  (That’s what happens often in the photography industry – with so much weekend work, you have to celebrate or have date nights whenever you can!)

As she was getting ready for the ceremony, (at the Hilton Christiana) I could tell within minutes of meeting Dana that she was a smart, loving, and kind person with a zeal for life! Over the years, I’ve been able to see or talk with her now and then. I’ve loved watching their family grow. My clients mean a lot to me, and it’s a really cool thing when good clients become good friends.

Rockwood Park

For their family session this past weekend, we decided on Rockwood Park in the area close to the mansion. It’s a beautiful location (home to the Delaware Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Festival!) The mansion itself is gorgeous, and it is surrounded by greenery, walking paths, and small gardens. Ahhh! These girls. Aren’t they sweet?
