A Philadelphia Wedding

Julia & Michael at the Logan Hotel

Last weekend, Julia and Michael had a beautiful wedding at The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia.  There are so many fun details from their day!  Undoubtably the most fun was Cora the dog’s appearance for family portraits, the ceremony (see below!), and even a few minutes on the dance floor. No surprise, it’s been hard to decide what to share today. That being said, I think we have a great sneak peek collection here!

Cake on the Rooftop

After getting ready, Julia and Michael chose to do a first look on the rooftop of the Logan.  Immediately after the first look, they had their cake cutting. They planned a more intimate cake cutting for their day (rather than having it in front of all of the reception guests). This rooftop cake cutting is a first for me!  I’ll do it again any day.  The buildings/sky made for a great backdrop for the cutting of a gorgeous cake made by Frosted Fox Cake Shop.

A Philadelphia Wedding – Ceremony and Reception at The Logan Hotel

Overall, it was a sunny wedding day, but the weather became a little threatening right before ceremony time.  Therefore, to be safe, the decision was made to move the ceremony indoors.  Remember I mentioned the pup?  Cora walked down the aisle like a champ (and maybe got a little excited to see everyone).

Smiles, laughter and happy tears filled the ceremony.  There is a very meaningful glass that has been present for special events for generations in Michael’s family. During a wine ceremony, Julia and Michael incorporated that glass as they each took a sip. Lastly, the ceremony ended with a kiss, and the party began!

Over the next couple of hours, the sun was in and out.  Following the next storm, I noticed a rainbow in the sky! Julia and Michael were happy to run outside with us to catch that (how many couple’s can say they got photos with a rainbow on their wedding day?!). Later in the evening we went back out to take a few night photos by the fountain.

Congratulations, Julia and Michael!
