A Wedding at Elk Forge

Last week I had the privilege of capturing Cinthia and Ernie’s wedding day. They planned their wedding at Elk Forge, a historic manor that is now a functioning bed & breakfast and event venue.

Cinthia and Ernie have been together for 21 years.  I love the excitement that they had leading up to their wedding day. It was evident whenever I spoke with them. The day of, the nervous excitement kicked in as it so often does.  Like so many couples though, the nerves seemed to vanish as soon as Cinthia and Ernie saw each other.  It’s beautiful how that works.  Usually wedding days tend to build anticipation and expectations and that can lead some couples to feel pressure and stress.  Obviously you want to avoid that as much as possible, but sometimes it just can’t be avoided! I’ve seen that time and time again, the majority of those nerves immediately disappear when couples see each other on their big day – it’s amazing!

During wedding prep, Cinthia and her attendants used one of the lovely suites in the Elk Forge Bed and Breakfast and Ernie and the guys were hanging out at the Sugarhouse (another wedding space which is also on Elk Forge property). Their ceremony took place in the outdoor garden. The conservatory room inside the manor was the perfect space for this reception – it is bright, filled with plants and flowers, stained glass, and plenty of sunlight. A delicious dinner was provided by T&M Catering (their Mexican Street Corn blew me away) and fun and dancing followed!

Congratulations, Cinthia and Ernie! I’m so excited to share this sneak peek!
