I’m really excited to share this post today! Bridgett and Nick were officially married on their original wedding date (7-25-20) with a very small number of guests present. With limited time and space around the church, they put off most of their wedding pictures to their rescheduled date. So on Saturday, it was a lot of fun to spend the afternoon with them, their bridal party, and their families, capturing what we weren’t able to before. The grounds at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club made it easy – beautiful views with so much space for a variety of shots.
We started off with some details and prep. The ladies had really cute matching robes, so we had to fit in a few shots with those. Nick had gifts for his groomsmen (matching bow ties and pocket squares), and I spent a few minutes capturing the guys as they were getting their ties and boutonnieres secure.
Next came the reveal. One very unique thing about a Whitemarsh Valley reception is their staircase. It is gorgeous. And, it looks AMAZING when captured with a fisheye lens.
Bridgett’s dress is so cool (besides being stunning!). It actually has an outer skirt that is removable. She wore the skirt on their wedding day, so Nick had no idea that when he first saw her on Saturday the dress would look different. What do you think? They seemed to have a lot of fun seeing each other in their wedding clothes again.
We followed the reveal with bridal party formals, couple formals, and family formals. This day was ‘all about the pictures!’ as Bridgett said. I’m happy to have had the opportunity 1) to work with this family again (they are the sweetest) and 2) to capture all these shots for them to keep and enjoy looking back on. It’s going to be a really fun album to make!
After family group formals, everyone got to relax and enjoy time together. For Bridgett and Nick, it was a time to (finally!) celebrate their marriage with their bridal party and close family all present. Whitemarsh Valley has a patio off of one of their gathering spaces that overlooks the golf course and rolling hills beyond. A few space heaters made it a cozy outdoor spot to enjoy hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner. Toasts were given, and there was a lot of smiling and laughter. Bridgett and Nick, it’s been such a pleasure. Wishing you all the very best and hoping you can always find reasons to smile in the midst of the curveballs that life throws. Looking forward to the next time I get to see you! 🙂
