An Early March Wedding

-Kristin & Mike-

Kris and Mike’s early March wedding was a joy for me to shoot. I’ve know Kris for a while now. Fourteen years at least! Her family plays a huge part in my photography journey as my wedding business used to be part of Kris’s Dad’s studio. Over the course of the 11 years that I worked for Bob, I got to enjoy lots of visits from Kris in the office. Naturally, when I first heard from Kris that she was engaged, I was really excited for her and anxious to meet Mike. What a great match! They suit each other so well and it’s been fun to get to know him a little over the last year.

Early March Wedding Ceremony

Kris and Mike’s prep and ceremony took place at their church, Heritage Presbyterian in New Castle, Delaware. There’s always something special about having your ceremony in a place of worship that you are so familiar with. It’s almost like being at ‘home.’ Here’s a little sneak peek from the ceremony and ceremony prep!

The Reception – Schaefer’s Canal House

On a day that was forecasted to be cloudy, the sun ended up shining through quite a bit! It was a beautiful, early March wedding day. After the reception got started and meals were being served, we took a few minutes to catch a couple outdoor pics. We did these right outside the front door of Schaefer’s banquet hall. It was too cold and windy to get close to the water. There’s a lot more to share, but I’ll end this post with some cake cutting pics! There may have been a little smashing action ;-). Congratulations, Kris and Mike! I’m excited for you two and wish you the very best!

Are you planning an early March wedding? Or a Delaware wedding during another season? I’d love to hear from you and chat about how we can capture the moments from your day that you want to remember forever. Get in touch!

Thank you for sharing these pictures. We were not able to attend, so we really appreciate the photos. They were beautiful and showed the love that Kris and Mike have for each other.
