David and Sophia finally got to celebrate with close family and friends at their Summer wedding in Wilmington, Delaware. They chose to plan the festivities with Whist Weddings at the Tilton Mansion (a favorite venue of mine!). Their love story is one of those ‘wow, it’s a small world’ stories! They met (outside of the first state) and soon realized that both of their Moms were from our small state of Delaware. Though not currently living here, it was a great place to have a wedding since so many of their family members still live close by.

After the heartache and stress rescheduling their day twice, it made me so happy to see David and Sophia smiling through their first look and enjoying the day together. It was hot, (as you would expect for a Summer wedding!) but they were able to hold their ceremony in the shade on the well-groomed grounds outside of the mansion. I love the trees that surround and shade the ceremony site (take a look below) – so beautiful!
