One thing I love about my job as a wedding photographer is that nothing is ever really the same. Every couple is unique – having their own love story, personalities, and ways of relating to each other. They have their own interests, their own likes and dislikes, and these things show up in the wedding details. The dress, the veil, the colors, flowers, transportation – it’s different for everyone! I LOVE capturing and focusing on what makes each couple’s day unique. The things that make each wedding day different from the ones before.
Dean and Deborah had a wonderful day filled with special moments and details. We started the day (as you can see above) capturing the dress and smaller items – rings, invitation, perfume, etc. This was interspersed with candids of the bridal party getting ready and some special moments for the bride with family and her attendants.
The ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall, Pennsylvania. What an ornate sanctuary – talk about detail! Yet Dean and Deborah still made the space reflect their day with petals and flowers lining the aisle and pews, and beautiful floral arrangements up front. Dean’s family owns and runs a floral business (Polites Florist). I told them after the ceremony that these flowers (all of them – the arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières) were some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, they did an amazing job. You get to enjoy lots of florals in this blog post!
One of my most favorite details of the day was a special keepsake that Deborah tied onto her bouquet. It was from Dean’s Great Grandmother’s wedding dress, a family heirloom kept from a wedding in Greece that was over 100 years old. How amazing is that?!
Dean and Deborah, congratulations again! Thank you for the privilege of capturing your details and your moments.
