Wedding at Worsell Manor

When we shot BJ and Britney’s engagement session in the (literal) freezing cold of January, it was a little hard to imagine what it would feel like for their summer wedding at Worsell Manor. August 27th finally came, and it was beautiful. We started the day by getting Britney ready. One of the coolest details was that she wore her mother’s wedding garter – it was her something old, something borrowed, and something blue all in one!

When she was dressed, we had a first look with Britney’s bridesmaids and BJ’s mom. So many great expressions here that I had to share lots of images from that moment. What were the guys up to? I’m glad you asked. Fair warning though – I’m sharing these because they are hilarious, but DON’T do this on your wedding day! If you fall, I told you so. BJ’s guys did a great job of catching him after flight so they deserve some credit for that!

Almost 5 years ago I photographed Britney’s sister’s wedding. Her wedding reception was at the same venue, but in November. It was great to be back, and this time to capture a wedding at Worsell Manor in the heat of summer. Also, I absolutely love seeing families again on these big days, it really is an honor.

For BJ and Britney’s day, the sunlight through the trees and behind them was gorgeous during the ceremony. There is always so much to share and so little time to share it! After the ceremony photos I have some sneak peeks of the couple for you and a few of their first dance. I have to stop there today to get to all the other things! BJ and Britney, congratulations again to you two!
