Maternity Session ⎮ Marian Coffin Gardens

March is such a hopeful month for me. I’m not a person who loves winter. Getting out of February, having some warmer days, and seeing the budding daffodils and crocuses brings on a lot of good feelings. When I first spoke with Reshmi about her maternity session, we both were excited about the possibility of taking the photos on the first day of Spring. We talked about how it would be both a celebration of better weather coming, and (more importantly) a celebration of this precious new life that she and her husband are looking forward to!

As much as I find March hopeful, its not always pretty at first. You can see things starting to change, but most of the trees don’t have leaves yet, and there aren’t too many flowers. I suggested the Marian Coffin Gardens as a great location for this maternity session because no matter what the season/weather, it is always gorgeous at the Gibraltar Estate.

What a fun and beautiful session! Ajay and Reshmi clearly have a great deal of excitement over baby’s arrival (as they should!). It brought me so much joy to be able to capture that anticipation for them at this stage. To an expecting mother, 9 months can sometimes feel like an eternity. Believe me, I’ve been there! It is especially hard when you start to feel more and more uncomfortable near the end of your pregnancy. Despite the discomfort, it is a special and amazing time – and one worth capturing to look back on and remember. Congratulations, Ajay and Reshmi! I can’t wait for you to meet your precious little girl.

Are you interested in a maternity or newborn portrait session? I’d love to hear your story and capture these precious moments for you. Please, get in touch!
